Dyeing finished!

So happy with the result! It looked so beautiful! I love the shade from darker at the edges and lighter in the middle pf the lenght.

And then, i tried on my 4 different fibers, left to right: black jacob, oatmeal BFL, norwegian, and silk, using the same shade of color and approximately the same number of color infusion... And here's the result:

Very interesting :)

Apple green happiness

Maybe, only a few of you may understand why i think that this evening is so lovely.

I finally get a chance to wind my newly spun yarn... I found out that it's 370 yards for 50 grams... I'm quite happy with this :)

And then, i got chance to try to dye!

Now you can imagine me doing the "ohohoho"

So just like all dyeing with food coloring... It all started with choosing the fiber and color:

Then i weigh the fiber,

And then i soak the wool in cold water

While i am mixing the color, i let it soak for an hour, press dry it until it is damp, and put it on a plastic to be prepared for dyeing.

And then, the fusing began :D

And then pressing here snd there and try to divide the color evenly...

And then wrap it...

And getting it ready for heating in microwave...

Now i am still waiting for it to cool down :)

Crossing my fingers!
